At Inianna Génération Boutique, we respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information when you visit our website, purchase a personalized portrait, or contact us.

Who Is Responsible for Your Information?

The business responsible for processing your personal information is:
Email: info@iniannagenboutique.com

Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with our store, we may collect:

  • Contact information: your name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, and phone number.

  • Order information: the products you select, personalization instructions, purchase history, and communications about your order.

  • Photos and artwork: photos you submit for personalization and the artwork created to fulfill your order.

  • Payment information: information necessary to process your purchase. Payment card details are processed by our payment providers. The payment information available to us depends on the provider and payment method.

  • Technical and browsing information: information such as your IP address, browser, device, and interactions with our website, collected through Shopify and other technologies enabled on our store.

  • Communications and preferences: messages, feedback, and marketing preferences you choose to share with us.

Information needed to process your order is required to fulfill your purchase. Without suitable photos or necessary order details, we may be unable to create or deliver your portrait.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Process payments and fulfill orders.

  • Create and personalize portraits.

  • Arrange printing, shipping, and order tracking.

  • Communicate with you and provide customer support.

  • Handle corrections, replacements, refunds, and disputes.

  • Maintain business records and comply with legal obligations.

  • Protect our store and customers against fraud and misuse.

  • Understand and improve our website and services, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

  • Send promotional communications where permitted by law and in accordance with your preferences.

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in those messages. We may still send essential communications about your orders.

Photos Used for Personalization

We use the photos you submit to create your personalized portrait and provide related customer support.

When submitting a photo of another person, you must have the necessary rights and permissions to provide it for this purpose. For photos of children, the appropriate parent or legal guardian’s authorization must be obtained.

Photos and artwork may be processed by service providers involved in uploading, storing, editing, personalizing, or producing your order.

We will request separate permission before using your submitted photos or personalized portrait in our advertising, social media, or public portfolio.

How We Share Information

We disclose relevant personal information to providers that help operate our business, including:

  • Shopify and providers supporting our online store.

  • Payment processors.

  • Photo upload, storage, editing, and personalization providers.

  • Printing and fulfillment partners.

  • Shipping carriers.

  • Customer support and email service providers.

  • Analytics and advertising providers, where enabled and subject to applicable privacy choices.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Shopify

Our store operates on Shopify, which processes personal information to provide and support the store.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to support essential functions, such as shopping cart operation and checkout.

Depending on the services enabled and your privacy choices, these technologies may also be used for analytics, personalization, and advertising.

Where required, we request consent before using nonessential cookies or similar technologies. Visiting our website does not, by itself, constitute consent to every use of personal information.

Manage your privacy choices: You can update your cookie preferences using “Cookie preferences” in our website footer. Where available, you can manage your data-sharing preferences through the “Your Privacy Choices” link.

You can also adjust your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect website functionality.

Legal Bases for Processing

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases, depending on the activity:

  • Contract performance: to process and fulfill your purchase.

  • Legal obligations: to maintain required records and respond to legal requirements.

  • Legitimate interests: to provide customer support, protect against fraud, and maintain the security of our services, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.

  • Consent: where required for activities such as certain marketing communications and nonessential tracking.

Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for the purposes described in this policy and to meet applicable legal requirements.

  • Uploaded photos and personalized artwork: We retain uploaded photos, working files, and final personalized artwork for up to 30 days after delivery to provide order support and address any reported issues. We then delete these files from our active storage and request deletion from service providers that process them on our behalf. Backup copies may remain until overwritten through the relevant provider’s backup cycle. If an issue remains unresolved, we retain only the files necessary to resolve it or meet applicable legal obligations. Please download and keep your included digital portrait within this period.

  • Order and accounting records: We retain invoices and supporting accounting records for 10 years from the end of the relevant financial year, as required by French accounting rules. Other order information is retained only as necessary to fulfill the order, handle applicable guarantees and disputes, or comply with legal obligations. This does not mean that uploaded photos or personalized artwork are retained for 10 years.

  • Customer support communications: We retain routine customer support communications for up to 12 months after the request is resolved. Records needed for an ongoing claim, dispute, or legal obligation may be retained longer where necessary. Photos and artwork attached to support messages follow the retention rules described above.

  • Marketing information and tracking data: We retain information used for marketing during our customer relationship and for up to 3 years after it ends, or, for prospective customers, for up to 3 years after collection or their last interaction with us, unless they unsubscribe earlier. We retain the minimum information necessary to honor unsubscribe requests. Cookies, advertising identifiers, and analytics data follow the retention periods disclosed in our cookie preferences and the settings of the services enabled on our store; they do not automatically follow the three-year marketing retention period.

Some records may need to be retained longer to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

International Data Transfers

We are based in France. Shopify and other providers may process personal information in other countries, including outside the European Economic Area.

Where legally required, international transfers must be supported by appropriate safeguards.

Information Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information.

However, no method of online transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and the laws that apply, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.

  • Correct inaccurate information.

  • Request deletion of your information.

  • Restrict or object to certain processing.

  • Receive certain information in a portable format.

  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on it.

  • Opt out of certain advertising-related uses or disclosures, where applicable.

  • Appeal a decision about a privacy request, where applicable.

To submit a request, email info@iniannagenboutique.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Certain information may be retained where permitted or required by law. We will respond within the applicable legal time limits.

Where the GDPR applies, you may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL, or another competent supervisory authority.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our practices or legal requirements.

The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
